概要 The 2D driven cavity flows are often utilized
as benchmark solutions. Extensive studies
have been done on the steady and unsteady
flows. However, the behavior of unsteady
flows at high Re and flows in deep or shallow
cavities are not fully understood. For example,
Poliashenko and Aidun (abbreviated as PA in
the following) predicted that the Hopf
bifurcation changes its kind as the aspect ratio
is larger than or smaller than 1. In the
present study, we focus our attention to the
effect of aspect ratio B=width/height, or
A=height/width on the critical Re.
